Not sure on ARZ needs, but I think they need defenseman more so than forwards. I feel like the last 5 years they take forwards with their first pick

As a Blues fan, I'm not giving up that much for OEL. That's our top D, O, and goalie prospects.
We're fine with out

So your saying you wouldn't give those 3 for just about any LH dman in the league then? Hedman, Keith, etc? Because OEL is among the best there is. If your not willing to do that, then I don't think your willing to do anything.

Realistically though if it would cost MTL Juulsen, McCarron and McNiven to get OEL, I'd say "you tell me where and when do we sign?"

It would take more than that for the Habs to get OEL.

Marco is just using MTL surrogates for the proposed STL trade here.

It sucks moving prospects before they get a shot (Erat for Forsberg makes me shiver and I hate the Caps lol), but yeah, OEL is a game changer and a top pair LD with Petro for their prime would be supremely worth the cost. We can all agree, the price of OEL - assuming a willingness for ARI to move him - would be very, very high. I think for STL it would be more like

Fabbri, Tage Thompson, and one of Walman, Dunn or 1st RDP. (I still might be low-balling.)

Oh true, I didn't see the wording "if it would". My bad.

Yeah that trade Erat for Forsberg I think is why there are no more trades in the NHL haha.

Not saying he's not great. Just that I'm good w what we have now and coming through the pipeline. Wouldn't jeopardize it, unless I thought he's the one piece we need 4 a cup. Plus we prob couldn't afford it

the only problem i have with the trade is the Husso portion. I'm more than willing to add Thompson and Schmaltz to make it happen. Maybe Fitzpatrick and Washington's 1st instead of Husso. But we'd have to get rid of Bouwmeester before we could even make the money work
