No one on the FA market that could help with that?

I see almost no options, especially for Buffalo. Not sure if Adams will focus on the FA and as we know few people want to go to Buffalo. And a guy like Manson seems to have fallen off a cliff.

I agree, but surely a slight downgrade on roy in FA would be better than losing 2 first round picks in my opinion

In this case, I prioritize developing our best prospect, and I don't get greedy, as our prospects pool very solid even without one first and Johnson. Depends on how much you appreciate Matt Roy, I think at FA doesn't come close to such a good RD. We don't need guys like Klingberg who wants 8x8 and he offensive D. Maybe I would think of Ilya Lyubushkin as one of the options.

I agree I just see where trading our additional firsts and prospects for dmen such as montour and miller, never really seems to workout.

Because these are not the defenders that we needed. In this case, Matt Roy, unlike Montour and Miller, plays well in defense and is a more physical player than they are.

Pysyk would be a better option than Roy in my opinion... and we just have to offer him a little more than what the market is offering. Which when we need to spend money that isn't a problem.

I'm not sure yet, I liked how Pysyk played at the beginning of the season, but lately he has not looked so good, there is still time to figure him out, if Pysyk continues to play well, then yes, it would make sense to extend him.

I can't see Los Angeles trading any of the defensemen currently on the roster with the possible exception of Sean Walker. We need Roy while Clarke and Grans or Spence plus eventually Faber develop; we need Anderson and Bjornfot on the other side because everyone else we have there is either old or useless.
