i don't feel like I have any bad contracts... not one's that warrant trading away 1sts at least. I would like to move Rinne. He is better than the FA goalies this season and would probably cost less... (that's if you're looking at going after Bishop... I see him going for 8x8...) If you want Rinne, I'd be willing to open negotiations... or if you'd like Lack I'd also move him. the Lack deal would probably be to upgrade a 5th to a 4th

I wouldn't give up McDonaugh in a trade for JT. Top 2 D are more valuable than 1 Cs. I would do Skjei + a bunch.

Well, I can't trade away any of my young defense, I'm actually trying to add to them. So, if you NEED a dman to be part of the trade, I will have to pass, unfortunately.

The asking price itself, is a little high for me, and this is why:

1. Lindholm for Tavares straight up would have been a better asking price for me, as top dmen are worth the same (if not more) than top forwards.
2. I can't justify trading away my best dman, that's under a very nice contract for 5 more years AND my two best prospects for any player that will be a UFA after next year.
3. Unlike some other UFA's next year, in order to retain Tavares, I will have to match the league max, as undoubtedly there will be a GM out there that will offer it to him.
4. He's a good player and can sometimes seem like he's unstoppable, but he's not even a point per game player over his 8 year career, and during that time has only surpassed 80 points twice.

I am still willing to negotiate if you are.
