Gally isn’t worth Arvidsson straight up. I wouldn’t even want Blake to take him off waivers. He needs to be retained if you want to move him to the Kings. Retaining on half a season of Carter isn’t going to cut it. If that’s too much find another team.

Understand your point...
Still think he bring more than arvidson, and dont forget that Bergevin was in tears when he sign Gally.
Maybe a deal with phoenix that retain some cap and Mtl give draft pick.
I dont want Arvidson, i moving him to...just want some cap space

Gally has a 6 team NTC and is metrics wise having the worst season of his career, which is really worrying considering Montreal has been chasing the lead most games. To me and a lot of other teams may look like a decline for a small stature player. That’s a long contract to see a decline so early. Meanwhile Arvidsson is already beating his last seasons stats and still has a friendly contract.

Bergevin is not the GM and he’s decent at trading, he understands that whatever team Gally wants to go to can dictate a price, they just have to wait until he requests a trade.

I think you more "acurate" from LA perspective.
I try to move Gally so i guess what could make a bit of sense.
Gally want out of Mtl so is NTC is no problem if its LA
Bergevin not GM in LA but best friend of Robitaille and Pat Brisson, he will push for Gally...but Blake will block him normaly...will cost is job eventualy, even if its is the rigth décision.
This year Gally and other Habs stat are not accurate.
But its true that Gally is on decline and if im Blake i dont want him at 6.5 .
Arvidson at 4 is ok but still not a fan, if i have Gally at the same price, i take a chance.
If not LA , a team will take him, surely with salary retain in some deal.

Would say no to.
But was on the impression that the coach d'int like him.
Again i try to dump Armia salary, if i have to give prospect and pick to isl or another team, ill sign Perron with my saving, Beauvillier wont be a 40 pts player so i dont want him that much...was just a upgrade on Armia.

Rob Blake has the reigns of the team, and he worked tirelessly and put the Kings out of contention for 3 years to get the team younger and cheaper. He has relieved Mike Futa and Jeff Solomon to make his own inner circle which will include Bergevin, but I believe that was to help his trade ability not to get Gallagher, but Chychrun.

Gallagher might return to being a 30 goal scorer, but I think the Kings and Habs are bad trade partners for this one. If you even look at cap space, Byfield and Turcotte's contracts will kick in just as Kopitar and Arvidsson get off the books and Danaults NTC expires. The team has purposely been built to slowly transition the old group to the young one. If the Kings cup window was now, maybe I'd agree with you, but I see it closer to two or three years from now, which is when I imagine Gallaghers contract will have a negative value.

I think Gally's true trade value might be up to him, if he waives his NTC, than the Habs have some options. If he selects 5 teams with little to no cap space, and one real destination he has handcuffed the team.

You make a lot of sense cant argue more.
Just hope we move Gally, realy like the guy but Bergevin gave him a bit to much .
If Weber and Price was still on top of there game, ill keep im, but like LA, we are not contender so he is useless in Mtl.

Common, please take him, i will return favor later.

You where the "perfect" destination, cap space and you need a center ..but i agree, he is not a game changer.
You still could make a counter offer and add pick or prospect, he is at least better than Bonino and its not like the team will be contender anytime soon.
