I love sunny but as your number 1 center holy **** the flyer would be screwed
but also the blues dont have the cap for Cam even with sunny going back it have to be scadella and sunny but also idk if army want to give up sunny

Why do Flyers fans think it makes any sense for Ottawa to move anything significant to get Giroux for 50 games this year? Why would Ottawa get into a bidding war with playoff contenders for a guy who (allegedly) wants to sign in Ottawa anyway?

I don't think any team is giving up draft picks for the privilege of overpaying Kevin Hayes.

He has negative trade value I would say. Unless you can eat say 2-2.5 per yr and then find a fit. Still gonna be difficult.

Ottawa has ZERO incentive to pay anything significant for a Giroux rental. They can sign him in the offseason without giving anything up.

Even so, trading a top 5 pick this year, your 1st from 2018 and arguably best RD prospect, Sanford (who can hopefully fetch a mid round pick) and a late 2nd is completely out of the question.

Blues don't have the cap to trade for and keep Atkinson. Plus he's on the wrong side of 30.
