You’d have to pay Boston to take PK.

Subban has massively improved this year. Although he is on a pretty hefty salary, I see it as two fourth. DeBrusk has almost no value and wants to leave

If quick gets injured Sparks is a suitable backup. That 7th doesn’t really do anything.

Wrong on Debrusk having no value.

B’s don’t have the cap space or the need.

Good luck moving him. It’ll be tough.

Retain half, take Moore/Wagner/3rd. Boston probably would, just because his contract expires.

Edmonton declines, massive over payment on that Severson deal, if they were willing to give up Broberg and a first rnd pick pretty sure they'd be in the running for Chychurn.

"Massively" is a reach. He's been slightly better, has had more offensive zone starts and on ice for more goals for but his individual play is still like a #6 D at best and he isn't worth DeBrusk & two 4ths and he is still overpaid at $5.5M.

OZ starts tells very little about how a player is playing, even as a relative measure. His individual play has been well below the $9 million standard since 2018. But has been a lot better this season. As someone who use many of these stats often and has watched him play every shift he has played as a Devil, I can confidently say the qualitative assessments more accurately describe his play. The good - playing more responsibly in his own zone, playing more physically, and better with shot selection (last year, he was the first guy I ever saw attempt not one, but two, back-hands from the point). The bad - still opting too often for stretch passes, ices the puck a ton (wouldn't be surprised if he led NHL d-men in icing), and can be at times a momentum killer in o-zone. I don't know if any of that shows up in stats. But if you ignore the big personality, the outfits, the (alleged) slewfoots...there is still a quality d-man there that plays the more scarce side, and has had a ton of success in playoffs. Risto got a 1st. Savard got a 1st. If a team cant fit $4.5m, someone is going to trade for him.
