Hamonic does nothing for Winnipeg and the Jets can't fit him in under the cap.

Ideally they draft one of the top centers in the 2022 draft. They also shouldn't sign Hertl, someone older on a 1-2 year deal makes more sense

If the Jets would trade Stanley it would prob just be for a pick or a similar type of young player.

Maybe Ryan Strome? I don't think he gets 6+ years. But 1-2 years at $7m would be worth it.

My idea was like an overpay of Pavelski on a 1-year-deal

I'm sure he gets 2-3 years if he wants it. But would be great short term add.

    Not trading Stanley for Hamonic.

I think the Jets could trade one of the LHD prospects in Stanley, Samberg or Heinola but it would be a hockey trade for a similar player in an area of need. Not sure what the thinking was here as to why the Jets would want Hamonic and how he would fit into our roster. There is no fit there.

As an org we've passed on Hamonic a few times and unless we had another deal lined up where we were moving out a RHD it just makes no sense for us.

What would make sense for us is taking Braeden Schneider, that they are getting from the Rangers for Stanley + pick/prospect that Canucks like.

I see that the OP is a Rangers fan so if the Canucks did that trade with the Rangers I'd be calling them on Schneider and may do a much bigger deal for him depending on how much more they wanted to shake things up.
