Whether or not he's touchable, who are you planning to replace him with?

Ideally one of those high-end centers in the draft this year

No one in mind ATM was just curious on a collective thought of if he was even available. Obviously anyone is available for a big enough return it’s business but just a conversation starter

All depends on how deep they want this rebuild to go, you get more for Horvat then Miller, so if they’re considering Miller why not consider Horvat.

And I know he’s their captain and someone going to complain and say “you don’t trade your 26 yo captain”

Let's say Canucks finish out of the playoffs this season. Horvat has just one yearleft till he's a UFA. Whether he's the captain or not, you're talking about a guy who just might want to leave.
And even if he stays, for let's say 7.5m, the Canucks haven't improved their team with resigning Horvat, they just have spend 2m more in cap.
The legacy of Jim Benning.....poor team, little cap, middling prospects.

Right now, you're likely to be picking 11th overall. I'm not sure that the right guy is going to be available there.

VAN is not moving Horvat, unless he wants out. "The sense is Bo Horvat wants to stay and the contract may not be as big as some people think if they go long-term" (Satiar Shah, Sportsnet650)

He'll very likely take a hometown discount to stay
