It's not even the new rules imo, I just don't see us finishing so poorly that we have top 5 or even top 10 odds.

Besides, the lottery is rigged anyways; why would Gary rig it for us?

Should be Wahlstrom with Barzal, he’s a lot better than Pageau , Bailey, and Palmieri

I think we’ll be bad enough for top 10 , the schedule is brutal and Trotz plays Chara and Bailey like they are top line talents

tbf chara has been bad but i dont understand the hate for bailey. sure he looks off some nights but the guy has like 29 points in his last 32 playoff games for us and people wanna buy him out for nothing + eat dead cap lmao

Chara has the second highest +/- on the team. That is a relevant stat for the Islanders.

As for Bailey, I agree. Consistently top 3 on team in points. I'll never understand the hate.

Nah some of the young guys suck. Bellows and Aho aren’t good. But Bailey , Chara, and palmieri are fringe NHLers. I hope they continue to fail , that’s the only way things will change in the future. Hopefully This season is a stain on Chara’s legacy

Bailey is the worst defensive forward on the team, he’s lazy, and kills every line he’s on. He was good a few years ago but the guy is cooked. The isles aren’t going anywhere with a 33 year old Bailey in the top 6.

Bailey has fallen off a cliff, the guy plays 30 min a night and gets to play with Barzal, he’s lucked into many assists. Plus minus lmao, Chara has one of the worst defensive impact among NHL defenseman. He has been carried by Dobson and Pulock.

The NHL does not need a team with Chara, Greene, and Bailey in the playoffs this season, it would be terrible for the game. Thank god they’re not making the playoffs

I'm going to call it now.
Wright is going to MTL.

A. it's a bit rigged.
B. leans heavily to major markets. Especially when they are sucking.
C. MTL lost a player that set them back, the league can't have a dead franchise there so they will "intervene"

Of course the other option is CHI but I'm not sure how large of a hockey market CHI is anymore.
My guess is he lands in one of those two cities.
Highly doubtful he lands in NY. Way to much helping that market lately. NJ and NYR have taken a lot of help.

This happens almost every game and we’re talking about +/- , literally the most useless stat in the game
