So what you're saying is that the Kings should trade for a young RHD, by trading away Brandt Clarke, a RHD picked 8th overall in the most recent draft. I don't think Clarke is going anywhere.

Nick Leddy is a LHD. The Penguins have more than enough of those and not enough RHDs. They also are slammed up against the cap, so even at maxed retention I'm not sure if they even could get Leddy without sending salary back.

I don't think LA would do that if it was just Clarke. Also, I don't think EDM would want Mrasek at his cap hit for 2.5 seasons. He's actually so bad!

Oilers aren't paying that much for a slightly better more injury prone goalie who's contract is much longer and isn't that much cheaper

Pens pass on the Leddy trade. And LA passes on the Hronek trade. However the pens probably would be interested in Hronek for the right price with Kapanen being the center piece going back to Detroit. Especially if they don’t believe they can get Letang signed.

So did you actually look at the Pens' roster and cap situation?

Our LHDs: Dumoulin, Pettersson, Matheson, Riikola and POJ.

Explain to me, aside from the fact the Pens have ZERO cap space, there's any room for Leddy in the lineup? He's not even close to as good as any of our starting three LHDs and probably on par with Riikola at this point.
