my logic is that edmonton is a lot closer to being contenders than many think. jarnkrok helps fill out the bottom six as a solid two way center and simek helps a d core that is desperate for some help in the defensive zone. no big names besides sevo but that’s bc they don’t really need anymore big names.

not an edmonton fan and not super familiar with skinner. might have messed this one up but i was under the impression he was a below average backup. greiss gets dumped to edmonton with a late pick with holland taking a chance on his upside.

Yeah, Skinner is Edmonton's promising prospect at the position, at only 23 years of age. In fact, I feel like the best way for Edmonton to improve their goaltending would be to just... bring him up to the big leagues full-time. He seems ready enough, and he's already putting up better numbers than Smith and Koski.
