Description
Trotz goes to philly in the offseason. Its a great fit for him and them and his time with the islanders should be coming to a close. Guys i would be interested in to replace him would be lambert, tocchet, paul maurice if he would be interested, rikard grönborg, i really like him and his contract has an nhl clause, or potentially a surprise firing in the offseason that makes a coach available.

The ANA trade could be anybody. I just used ANA as a placeholder.

Dont really know middletons value but ive seen sharks fans say hes not in the long term plans. If im not mistaken he played well playing decent minutes with karlsson. Ive seen him signed to a 1/2×1-1.5 type deal.

Edmonton is in no position to be trading their 1st for a goalie that is underperforming this year. I could see a conditional 2nd that upgrades to a 1st depending on playoff results but not a guaranteed 1st

On the other hand, this is a very EDM type of move.

I hear what youre saying but hes still putting up solid numbers. Plus theres the playoff experience factor which gms love. I would do something like if they make the playoffs and he plays 50% of the playoff games though otherwise it moves to next year.

Trading a pick that is going to be at least 20 OA for a aging 1A goalie is gonna help him keep it

Maybe a 2nd for Varly. Goalies aren't usually traded for 1sts.

Middleton trade isn’t bad, he’s been really solid and surprising but he is not fleet of foot fyi, i would prefer a 3rd for him but i wouldn’t turn down that offer.

Middleton has been solid and steady for San Jose this season, not sure they want to move him. He will be a cheap resign too

Unfortunately he hasnt played in a couple of games. Hes played well but barry and 25< year old players dont mesh very well. As for the positioning hes only played wing on NYI but if im not mistaken he came up playing center. Considering the isles are set at C that could be a reason.
