TDL Moves

Description
Just an idea for some TDL moves, doesn’t really answer the Defensemen depth but would be a pretty solid forward group while leaving us some pieces to add consistent little more reliable 3RD if we wanted or LD rental could still be possible also. Obviously some pieces may have to be moved here or there in or out up or down to make these trades work but it atleast a rough idea. Gives the bruins solid top 3 lines and decent fourth, don’t like foligno but if he can get healthy and stay healthy and atleast use his body he might be half useful in the playoffs and ain’t no way bruins are going to move him till the offseason anyways

Hertl, obviously answers the 2C role for this year and hopefully bruins can resign him, think we could make the cap work depending on Bergeron and what exactly Hertl wants (which won’t be cheap) but moving foligno next offseason would definitely help

Marchessault because I feel like bruins need to upgrade over smith to truly be cup contender. Probably take little more to get him but this gets ball rolling I believe. 2C would get us there but upgrading RW would really help put us over the top, Marchessault might not be the answer but between him or Smith I think we could take advantage of Vegas cap situation (like every other team is going to try to do) so again might be another option out there

Jarnkrok swap for debrusk, just to make a little more cap space, probably not overly needed but good little depth trade, SEA gets younger player and debrusk will get more playing time in SEA which will help him also
Soucy is about the same , good depth piece, adding some size to our backend, LD not overly needed but with moving Reilly gives us solid replacement, little cheaper and year less term, cause we’re going to need to make room that year for pasta contract and swayman
———————————————————————————
As for Boston trades: teams can be changed I just picked isles and yotes

Reilly is a good d man, good hands, good eyes, good speed, but with grez and Urho don’t think we really need him and he’s a valuable piece so we can get small return for him along with making a little cap room and another team gets good dman

Moore well that is self explanatory, don’t know the cost on cap dumps so may have to change a little or couple him into another package if that’s easier

Again I’m no expert and I know these trades are not perfect and I am o so certain everyone will let me know what’s wrong with them but just a idea to get a conversation started. I personally think lysell, lohrei, harrisson and swayman are off limits for any of these trades, unless there’s a young top player coming back to BOS these guys should remain in our system for the future

Again defense isn’t the best, which would need to be addressed also, definitely deep enough but upgrade 3RD( natural) guy not forbort, 1LD could still happen but Boston has to make decision on Urho, I think he personally good enough to play 1LD with Mac, I do wish he played with the body a little more and wouldn’t mind someone a little more grizzled on that top pair to help protect Mac and throw some bodies around but as far as puck handling and moving I think Urho is capable, if we could move forbort in offseason and put Urho at 3LD then I don’t see an issue going for 1LD now or in offseason besides cap space, hertl is going to be around the 8m mark rumored so that’s going to take up a lot of our off season room if we don’t want him to be just a rental

No reason for the Isles to say no to this. I'd do it.

Ya Reilly is solid just not what the bruins need, showed up in playoffs last year, has been little quieter this year but has gone away from what he was doing when he came here. He’s got an eye for the long stretch pass to a streaking forward for a breakaway that I absolutely love but idk if bruins system isn’t built for it or coach doesn’t want him to do it as much this year but he’s gone away from it and I miss it. It kept opposing defense in check allows room for team to get out of our own zone easier cause they have to keep space and be ready for that pass. And I mean he has good hands in general so obviously solid top 4 defensemen on most teams, and if they pair him with stay at home d man that’s always ready to drop back then really let’s him move his feet and make passes in the o zone

Here’s constructive: add actual quality to a trade to get a high quality player. Only thing that is interesting in this trade is the picks. I’ve said all along for as much as Hertl to Boston theoretically makes sense Boston doesn’t have the assets or their fans refuse to move the quality assets that he should return.

Guess idk how this rules him out
