I don't know why EDM ever signed that Kassian deal. McDavid should have left the day after that.

Anaheim has no interest in Kassian and has better solutions for the #3LD than Samorukov.

He gets a lot of disrespect from certain fans, but he actually delivers pretty good value in comparison to a number of other players in his salary range. Comparing him to players like Kasperi Kapanen, Roope Hintz, and Pius Suter is just not reasonable because they play a vastly different style of game. Frankly, of the big, checking forwards in his price range, only Marcus Foligno is providing vastly superior performance. This year, Kassian's numbers are better than those of Adam Lowry, Craig Smith, and Joel Armia; they are even better than Radek Faksa's. Tanner Pearson's numbers are very comparable, but he's not able to do what Kassian can do when the gloves come off.
