Only thing with that is it's kind of lopsided for the Rangers to do that. Turcotte has never scored a point in the NHL, so the Rangers wouldn't be willing to give up a third year NHLer for a guy who has only played AHL hockey thus far. Nils has been great in the AHL (and showed flashes of brilliance in the NHL) and Krav has been great in Russia.

I just don't know if they can realistically get that for a guy with less than two AHL seasons and 8 games/0 points of NHL experience. Think LA would have to add if they're looking for that kind of return, especially a no. 1 LHD like Chychrun.

I'm willing to add if it's prospects going the other way because I think Turcotte's value is higher than Krav's, Jones's and Nils's, but I can't imagine for example doing K'Andre Miller for Turcotte 1 for 1.

I'm willing to trade Miller for Turcotte if LA were to add (Jones deserves to be our second pair LHD with Trouba anyway).

LA has plenty to get a player like Chychrun it’s if Blake is willing to give up the asking price.

Turcotte in some deal for K'Andre Miller is a good idea. Whether one team or the other or both add draft picks or prospects is open to discussion, but Miller is the only guy we're really interested in.

As to the "only AHL games so far" contention, Turcotte matches your window and also your timeline. Have a look at your 2023-2024 roster, when you have four forwards signed for $30.25 million, 4 defensemen signed for $23 million, and presumably $6.75 million to be spent on two goalies -- 10 players, $60 million. And that doesn't count re-signing Kappo by then and having to re-sign LaFreniere to a new contract before that season begins. You're going to need economical first-line players.

I'm not convinced that you'd have to add Chytil. Maybe I'm an outlier among LA fans, but I could live with that.

Chytil sucks.

Sure, but at the same time I doubt they pass up a hot LD prospect that isn't too far off. It's not like they're on the cusp on being a Cup favorite or anything. And frankly, I think Turcotte is overrated, and plays a position where they have loads of young talent. If they can get a worthwhile return for him, they should do it.

Unlikely kings go for another LHD prospect when they have Anderson and Bjornfot. I don’t think NYR is a good match.

For the record I like miller

Anderson is nothing overly special, if you ask me. And even if you think he's a swell player, he's really a #4/#5 and there's no denying that the Kings left-right balance at the back end leans waaaaaaay to the right when looking to the future. They absolutely need more LD talent, which the Rangers have to spare.

Any other year I'd say absolutely not to trading Chytil. This year, I'm willing to trade him just for the cap space alone lol
