Gonna have to do a hell of a lot better than that if the Canucks are gonna trade Miller to a division rival

That Vancouver trade is terrible. Vancouver is looking to lose cap, not gain it. That is also not nearly enough for Miller

What cap is van gaining here? Resigning yam isn’t going to break any bank certainly cost less than Miller so van is actually gaining cap by that.

New Jersey has been rebuilding for ages. I can't see them trading their #1LD and their starting goaltender for more futures. Plus, their top 4 defensemen (Graves-Hamilton, Siegenthaler-Severson) is pretty nicely set up for next season; in fact, I'd take that over your top 4 guys any day.

Did you forget that Mikko Koskinen almost has the same cap hit as Miller? He’s a cap dump. That first round pick is what it would take for you to dump him on the Canucks

Devils would take Koskinen for nothing.

But mentioned adding cap? Kosk is a pending ufa along with turris so both are off the books by the time van can even use any of the cap. So again where is this addition cap?

The fact that Vancouver does not have any cap right now. Turrria, Yamamoto, and Koskinen together cost more than Miller. This trade is also bad because there is little to no value going to Vancouver…

Bernier out for the season with hip injury
Blackwood most likely out for the season with heel injury

Devils rocking with Daws/Schmid and Gillies right now

Little to no value? Former 1st round pick middle six forward with team control plus a first and lowered pay roll going into offseason is little to no value?

Yes especially when you’re sending two cap dumps back at us. Yamamoto is not worth much and that first round pick is in two years. The ask for Miller at bare minimum is a 2022 first round pick, and a blue chip prospect. We could do a lot better with a team like New York. Don’t think you can get our best forward and dump a bunch of garbage

Probably not, but his goal was to get closer to his son in the Okanagan, which Seattle is.
