As much as I want Trouba, that would be a tough trade to swallow. WPG should be sending back picks or another prospect.

a 2nd round pick for Sheahan a 25 year old forward with 0 goals in 78 games this season? Why would anyone do that? He's supposed to be an offensive guy too, not like he's amazing physically or defensively. No chance Sheahan even cracks the leafs lineup.

He's not supposed to be an offensive guy. He was never supposed to be an offensive guy. He is a better player than those numbers suggest. You're wrong on all accounts. There was actually plenty of interest in Sheahan at the deadline (Leafs included).

Unfortunately as a Jets fan I already feel that deal is terrible for us. Mrazek I just don't think is worth it especially considering WPG goalie pipeline is decent (rough year I'll admit right now) Tatar seems to have plateud around 40-50 points which is great, but he's an RFA next year and looking for a raise (Jets already in CAP trouble in the coming years). As for Sproul, know he's a young up and coming D but don't know enough to judge. Basically you're taking the Jets 23yr old #1 RHD for another FWD (Jet's don't need) a young unproven D (Jets believe it or not have some of those) and a G whos numbers are worse then their current young starter Helley so adding from the Jets side would be out.

I meant his defensive/physical game is not good enough to make up for his lack of production. By no means is he supposed to be a pure offensive guy or a natural goal scorer, he's defense first forsure, but his defensive game isn't good enough to make up for his poor offense. Not saying there's no interest but any team would be stupid to give up a second rounder for him.
Recent players moved for 2nd round picks: Brian Boyle, Anthony DeAngelo, Brian Elliott (2nd rounder + conditional 3rd on him resigning), Brian Bickell & Teravainen for a 2nd & 3rd.
Sheahan has nowhere near the value of those players

If i'm the Jets, I want a player from your team that is going to really hurt. Just out of principle. I don't care if Mrazek or Tatar are good. I want Larkin. Minimum.

Any time a big name player is coming to your team via trade, the players going the other way have to make you question if its worth doing this trade. Mrazek, Tatar and Sproul don't do it for me. I'd make that trade in a heartbeat if Im a Wings fan and thats the problem. It shouldn't be so easy say yes to it.
