Leafs are not going to spend a 1st on these 2 guys. Schenn is probably a 3rd or 4th at best .

I can't see the leafs spending a first on a 6/7th d and a bottom six forward even with them taking on Richie's contract

If the Leafs think they can contend for a cup they would do this deal in my opinion.

Why? This is only minor depth pieces. Doesn't make an impact. Losing a first does. and shedding Richie this year doesn't help either. We'll move him in the offseason.

As a Canucks fan, if I was the GM of the Nucks and Dubas offers me this I take it before he realizes the over payment for what is effectively a 6th or 7th dman, and a rental bottom 6.

Then I use that first to help move our cap space issues around. Thanks Dubas.
