make the kings legit part 2

Description
I would say these are decently good trades that make sense for both sides. the vegas one is a stretch but if you think about it long term it makes much more sense This scenario will push the kings into serious contention with probably the best d core the league has seen in a long time. I felt quick is playing well enough to get us far and with more offensive d men and Chandler Stephenson, we will have the offensive power to actually score. I tried my best to not trade Brant Clarke but if teams required him for these trades to work I guess it would be worth it. Also, I know that vegas would rather trade away other players for their cap but in the long term thinking Pietrangelo has basically a Drew doughty contract and they don't want to have to deal with that down the road. All of these trades are reasonable to a degree and I personally would love to see them go through.
Trades
1.
ARI
  1. Kupari, Rasmus
  2. Vilardi, Gabriel
  3. 2022 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
This is the supposed asking price Arizona wants
2.
VGK
  1. Grundström, Carl
  2. Turcotte, Alex
  3. 2022 3rd round pick (PIT)
  4. 2023 4th round pick (PIT)
  5. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
I know this trade is a stretch for the players involved but if you really think about it Pietrangelo is a huge contract for many years and he is old. Eichel will be taking Stephenson's place anyway so they won't be losing the production he brings. Yes, they lose two great pieces but they have to dump cap and a long and huge contract like Pietrangelo is a great one to dump moving forward. Stephenson is on a great contract and by throwing in some young players and a first I think that the kings get better and VKG gets back some great prospects and capital in return.
3.
MTL
  1. Arvidsson, Viktor
  2. Athanasiou, Andreas
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (LAK)
  4. 2022 4th round pick (LAK)
  5. 2022 5th round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
I might have the idea of how much Chiarot is worth completely wrong but this is a great way to get the Canadians some picks and young players while dishing out Chiarot. I don't think he is worth a first but with all the other trades going on it looks like that would be a late first anyway. This gives the kings a great defensive defenseman and a cap dump.
4.
DET
  1. Määttä, Olli
  2. Roy, Matt
  3. 2022 6th round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
literally a cap dump. Could've done this with Arizona but I decided to do a separate trade. Erne is an NHL-ready player and very serviceable in a fourth-line role or elsewhere. With the eastern conference looking already set this is a way to add some depth to a top-heavy Detroit d core. Detroit is on the outside looking in and mediocrity is the worst place to be so they should take a gamble to take the next step and try to push into a playoff spot.

Erne is Yzerman's son so he won't be traded.

You really think Vegas moves Pietrangelo, and Pietrangelo waives his NMC to go to a weaker team in the same division? Let alone move Stephenson, who has been an amazing fill in as a 1C, where on almost every other team he would be a 3/4C. This year, Vegas probably has the best chance of winning the cup since their inaugural season. Why would they mortgage their best chance at winning the cup just to get cap space this year. With Stone on LTIR, they don’t have to worry about anything until the playoffs, as they are likely pulling a Kucherov.

As for the Chychrun trade, I think the Yotes would push for at least one more high piece. And if they don’t get that piece, Arizona would just be fine with keeping Chychrun.

Chychrun seems like a draft Day trade to me. If he's traded I'd guess he's going to the Panthers.

I can see us giving up Athanasiou and one of our 2022 thirds for Chiarot. Who's the "cap dump" you're referring to in connection with that trade, since Athanasiou is a UFA? It can't be Arvidsson, who would be your team's leading scorer with 29 points.

We might consider Erne for Maatta if we had any need for bottom-6 forwards, which we certainly don't. your inclusion of Matt Roy in that deal strongly suggests to me that you don't know who he is.

I one hundred percent agree that Pietrangelo and Stephenson are probably not going to happen but it is very possible. Pietrangelo is on a big contract and he's not getting any younger. I also didn't consider that they were gonna pull a Kucherov. If anyone from vegas would be moved it would probably be two of Smith. Karlsson, or Dadonov. All I am saying is if the kings needed to move cap the way that vegas need to then I would put doughty on the chopping block first.

We wouldn’t trade either of those two, and especially for that return

I'd take the Detroit trade in a second. Erne is super ordinary. Vegas for sure passes. Stephenson is so cheap for his production plus pietreangelo is too good to move.

I get the Chychrun trade, but why would the Kings do any of the others? They certainly don't need $20M locked up in two 30+ RHD. Look how well that's going for the Sharks.

Detroit passes, Chychrun would be a draft day trade not a trade deadline trade. And zero chance of Pietrangelo waiving for LA he and his family love it there in Vegas.
