Giroux basically put out an ultimatum saying "I'll go to Colorado, St. Louis, or Minnesota". The price is going to be a LOT lower. Expect a 1st, Compher or Jost for salary, and Kaut or the like.

Assuming what Dater said is true (a big if), my question is: what would St Louis or Minny offer that is better than what you mention? Minny has to feel like they have to make a big push since they'll be in cap hell soon but they won't want to give up a lot because they'll really need their young guys and their picks. I guess they could send Fiala the other way since they probably can't re-sign him but then getting Giroux is a lateral move. And St Louis needs D help more than anything so I'm not sure Giroux addresses their needs and they're not handing over Perunovich. Going to be interesting to see how it shakes out.

I don't have a link handy, but I saw it from Adrian Dater's twitter feed. I'm a little suspect, though. Is he serious about Minny or STL? Or are the Flyers just blowing smoke about two Avs division rivals to maintain some sort of leverage?

Only reason why I can believe St. Louis (as a Blues fan) is Giroux's connection to both Schenn and Berube. Not sure about the others.

Yeah, IDK what they'd offer, I'm not well-versed on the Blues or Wild's prospects.
