Min says no, you dont get both Addison and Lambos, maybe Lambos and a 2nd but nothing more. He is only a rental for us not like he would resign on a team friendly deal so if thats the price it's not worth it, idek if I wanna give away Lambos

Russo is pretty confident that pieces like Lambos and Addison won't be moved for rentals, and that fits with what Guerin has been saying for years, so it's likely a no.

giroux is good but lets remember that he is a rental. he does not have term. he does not get two top D prospects, and picks.

To be fair, the 2nd is fair for Braun and a 4th is fair for Brassard. That leaves two d prospects and Rask for Giroux making it a total wash in salary cap should Minnesota want to make other additions.

Imo (I'm not a pro scout) , I would rather keep both Lambos and Addison.

Hear me out.

I look at tape and scout for fun and am not employed by any team to be clear.

I am a Wild fan first, but I try not to let a ton of bias slip in. I look at players that I am interested in so I mostly look at Kings prospects, Rangers, Islanders, Habs, and a few others here and there. But funny enough I compare Lambos to a player already on the Wild. Brodin.

Lambos has Elite skating ability and great first strides. He uses his skating to stay in position and lock down the other teams best players every night. I however believe that Lambos has a bit higher offensive upside than Brodin (Lambos also hits a bit more often). He has a great knack for getting his wrist shot through traffic and on net.

I have no doubt that Lambos will go from Jr to the NHL right away.

From everything I see Lambos is a floor high end top 4 D-man with a top 2 ceiling that fell in the draft due to injury and COVID. I don't think you trade him plus other assets for Giroux.

Imagine two Brodin like Defensmen on the Wild. It should happen within 1-2 years.

Alex Pietrangelo is probably a good comp for Lambos. The epitome of a two-way PMD, that adds a little bit of physicality sometimes.
