It's becasue Toronto's top end players are some of the best in the league.
Matthews and Marner are top 10 NHL players. Nylander ( who i have disliked, game has been much much better ) and Tavares whi is declining is stiill an outstanding 2C.
That's what is making Kerfoot and Guys like that better.

Dillon is much bettre than Dermott, Copp and Kerfoot is a wash so I would not give up extra assets for that to lose Copp next year.

Oh and Holl is 30 ( not young ) and declining, as is Muzzin.

I think most of your assessments are wrong here. Nylander is unreal and JT is still a top centre on a pile of teams. Muzzin may be declining and Holl's taking the blame.

I'm saying Nylander is good lol. and if JT is a #1 Center, then your team is very bad.
However my point is the Leafs depth players like Kerfoot, point total is much higher due to who he is playing with.
Copp may be better and put more up than Kerfoot playing with a Nylander, and Dillion is much bettre than Dermott.

Geez a guy who's going to end up with about 30 goals and 80+ points is a bad 1C then this league is nuts.

I'm just going to add the Dillon is a left D and when we've needed a RD, he hasn't been moved over to the right, so thinking he would play the right side for you is a risky proposition.

This trade is a no from the Jets because they'd get more if they traded these guys seperately.

2 - 2nds for Dillon
a 1st for a 50% retained Copp.

We have a glut of NHL ready left D which is the only reason why Dillon may be available so Dermot isn't wanted at all.
Kerfoot is pretty good but he won't play C for us and also will be a third line left wing at best so there isn't a lot of interest in him either. You need us to take him for cap purposes so you'd need to pay us to do that.
Villenuve, as a 4th rounder he's a long shot but I don't mind him.

Anyhow, we're better off doing 2 separate trades where we don't have to eat any cap for next year.
