Habs TDL Offseason

Created by: RemiLavoie
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 16, 2022
Published: Feb. 16, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tried to keep the values realistic. Some of these could be done in the offseason. Tried to move out all players that should ideally be moved as soon as possible, while keeping a few of the vets who are good in the room for now (ie. Gallagher, Byron, Edmundson, Drouin, etc). Players in the scratches column should leave as FAs in the offseason. I want to see the Habs weaponize the cap space, and make more moves like the Koskinen one (take on big salary for a high pick).

Chiarot, kulak, Dvorak, petry values are all good or super close.
Lehky will get more like nils lundqvist
Hoffman could get 2 2nds or maybe 1 of their RD prospects along with a 3rd.
To dump koskinen it's a 3rd, and Allen is worth 2 2nds. So maybe add a goalie prospect like ilya konovalov.
Pretty good though!!

Was gonna say, I’m a Ranger fan and at this point krav is gonna be thrown in as a sweetener or traded for a second/pair of lower picks.. It’d probably look more like krav and a pick for lehks

No, lundqvist. You have fox, and schneider. It wouldn't be good in the future to limit lundqvist minutes to 3rd pair

Artturi Lehkonen doesn’t get Nils Lundkvist. JT Miller does.

Probably getting closer with that one. I think NYR Value Lundkvist too much, though (whether that’s the right value or not)

Oilers easily decline. Allen isn’t worth the headache the extra year on his deal causes Edmonton. Smith is signed for next year and skinner won’t be able to be sent down so this creates a situation where someone is destined for waiver pretty easy to see that’s Allen in this case. Kosk is worth more to Edmonton just because his contract is set to expire this year not a chance Holland would even look at a 1-1 deal because of the term.

In what world is Allen worth 2 seconds? Haha that’s a pretty sizeable return for any goalie based upon history of goalie trades not sure what Allen has done to be worth anymore than a mid round pick at this point. Doesn’t cost much but doesn’t provide much.
