can't see Vegas moving Stephenson. Smith depends on if they put Stone on LTIR until the end of season. Also thinking it would take more than a 1st and 2nd to grab both players.

I like Stephenson quite a bit, but I don't know why Vegas trades one of their best contracts with the cap hell they are currently in. Based on Russo's latest article, I also don't know if Dean would consider him an upgrade over Gaudreau so he may still play Gaudreau on the 2nd line over Stephenson...

Additionally, acquiring Smith just to play him on the 4th line doesn't really make sense.

if they picked up Smith he would likely play 2nd line minutes , he is a proven playoff performer

Perfectly said. Smith means dewar will have to be sent back to Iowa. You don't play a player like that, or cap like that on 4th line.

Not over fiala or boldy, he wouldn't. Minnesota is beyond too stacked on winger

perhaps during the reg season but the playoffs are whole different gig. Zuc is the only player with as many playoff games played.

regardless , I think the chances of either being moved to Minnesota is slim to none

Getting Smith feel more like a punishment than a reward for MN. He's not bad or anything, but barring injury, he doesn't fit anywhere in the lineup.

Zucc/Kap work too well together, Boldy/Fiala are really playing well. Don't mess with the GREEF line, it just doesn't work unless all 3 guys are together. Smith is way too good to be stuck playing 10 mins a night on the 4th line.
