Doesn't fix the issues. He's awful defensively, and wouldn't beat Skjei to the 2nd pairing. He'd knock out of the lineup though.

You forgot to add $20 for the offer sheet given to KK.

HABS will not deal with CANES unless there is a really stupid offer they can`t refuse. This is not it

I don't see another team being interested in Chiarot and being able to offer better

Chiarot’s gonna land a first round pick, that’s been reported by just about every single insider out there. Rather that than a couple late seconds and 2 cap dumps.

No it hasn't lmao, insiders just think he could get one. Not one insider has come out and said there are teams willing to trade a first

Yeah agreed. People got to remember, it’s trade deadline. A lot of teams are going to overpay for assets. Plus I don’t understand why would MTL do this trade in the first place. Two late 2nd round picks, a 7th dman, and a guy who’s going to be on LTIR.

Legit insiders have said 12 teams have called and the price at the moment is minimum a 1st round pick.

This trade has the Habs eat 5 miliion in cap and they really receive 55-60th overall picks. Youd have to replace a 2nd with a 1st and add Ryan Suzuki

Ben Chiarot is a 3rd pairing dman ,3rd pairing men don't get a 1st and a prospect. The Leafs woulda traded Holl by name if bottom pairing man are worth a 1st

I don’t have time to look through everything I’ve read over the past couple days to give you formal proofs of where this has been said, but off the top of my head I recall Eric Engels, Pierre Lebrun, Elliote Friedman, Dave Pagnotta, Frank Servalli, and NRD saying that the expected return for Chiarot is at least a first round pick

You gotta seperate your feelings about a player and evaluate the trades by his actual market value. Chiarot starts at a 1st. 12 teams are looking at him, 4 very closely. so theres gonna be a bidding war. Either a lower pick and very goodm prospect or a 1st and decent one.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes, it's not too friendly.

Like you, I'm going to be very interested to see what Chiarot actually brings in the real-world trade market. I don't think that it will be equivalent to what Tyler Toffoli brought. Of course, the same Habs fans that insisted TT would bring a first, a second and a third are now saying that Heineman = a second, and Pitlick plus the fifth = a third . . .

Bruh… 12 teams are on him including your leafs… He’s for sure bringing at least a 1st rounder and if there’s a bidding war (likely will) he might even bring a good prospect…

We are not the Leafs. Chiarot is a chad. You desperately want him on your team because he's differently built, a absolute unit compared to every peasants on your team. The price for this genetically superior human is a 1st and Ryan Suzuki, if you're not ready to give these assets, step aside, child.

Dermott is way way way worse and Sandin isn’t reliable as Chiarot YET… he will be tho… I’m a thousand times more confident in Chiarot in the playoffs than Sandin (throwback round 1 2021) Rielly is in another class Muzzin is a rich man Chiarot and Brodie is meh not the same type of dman… You can’t tell me you don’t need Chiarot

Your team is soft as fukkk why in the bloody hell do you need mothafackin Klingberg and btw Mayfield is the same exact player as Chiarot except he didn’t threw your garbage choking ass team to the golf turf… Anyways if you guys apparently don’t need Chiarot then another team will pay the price Chiarot might have a chance to win a round
