You're right, but I'm not turning down that package for a guy who might not even fit at 2C. Look at all of the available FA's

If we're looking to trade for a 2C, I'm looking at Dylan Strome from Chicago. Their GM openly said they were doing a long term rebuild and Strome reportedly wanted out... so there could be a fit there.

I can assure you he does. Value around 2nd + 4th.
Kraken get LD prospect, a great defensive center, and a 2nd.
I think it's a good deal for both teams

He's also 30 YO and we're retooling/rebuilding. It would make sense if we're a Gourde away from competing for the cup, but we're far away from that.

I don't think it's that desperate, but I wouldn't mind seeing him traded. He's not worth anywhere near his contract.

Correct. We need to get best value for him, before gms dont want to pay alot. Teams possibly interested : Seattle + arizona.

Yeah, he's overpaid but he's still a good player, not like he's a cap dump

Nah, gms wanna pay 1st + 3rd for chiarot, he might just need a change of scenery. He's not in a position to produce with Dauphin and Hoffman, let's face it, not a great fit. I still think 1st + 3rd is possible. He's only 29.

That's Hughes asking price, not what GM's will pay, if GM's were willing to pay that, he'd be gone

I only included players I actually like/miss. I was only a habs fan for the last year of Subban’s career, and while some people may have warmed up to him while he was in Montréal, all I’ve seen from him since he left is being annoying and a dirty player.

Not really, Kravtsov still has an NHL contract, however, getting a player who you own his rights but haven’t given him a contract yet might be a harder task now to make them come over
