NJ declines. Rathbone is the only player of the three that could interest them but not enough to move all of those players for

Doesn't mean his contract is good

Zacha and Boqvist are finding themselves on the outside looking in with New Jersey, and I think the Devils could add some veteran leadership since they are such a young team, and don't ignore the draft picks coming their way too

Selling Mukhamadulkin for picks and parts could be a career-ender. Devils not moving him.

Not the case, Rathbone is a good prospect himself

if the pens want to have a chance at keeping rust they'll need to trade one of matheson, petty or zucker. plus in this case they don't pay kapanen. poj is definitely league ready so i don't hate this tbh

I dont hate it, but Pettersson has been good and we could just move Pettey in the offseason

This isn't a trade deadline ACGM in case you haven't noticed

Ya there’s no justification in trading him at the TDL but they should definitely look into it in the offszn

Either retain on Myers or take Faksa and/or Dobby

I don’t love it…but I don’t hate it either. It would all depend on if they could trade Zucker and get something decent in value back. Garland would obviously take Zuckers spot at 2LW and all of those big contracts being gone helps the pens sign the big 3, but only if they can trade Zucker by free agency.

Why not? They could use the veteran presence, and Zach and Boqvist aren't in their plans going forward

The say the best trades always result in both sides being at least somewhat dissatisfied with it

Zacha and especially Boqvist both have been playing better as of late. They can easily end up being part of the future or traded for a bigger package
Devils could sign "Veteran presence" in free agency

Okay, but looking at the list of pending UFA's, hopefully that "veteran presence" is able to stay in the lineup consistently

Pearson would have the same trouble too
Devils have a lot of wingers better than Pearson
Bratt, Zacha, Sharangovich, Tatar, Johnsson
Plus they have Foote and Holtz coming up next year
No room for Pearson

With Johnsson, Tatar, Sharangovich, and even Zacha, it's debatable if those guys are better than Pearson

All of them are outperforming Pearson
Only one close is Tatar who is playing 3rd line right now

Not by very much, value difference is only about a 4th/5th round pick
