Letang has made it abundantly clear he wants a raise and a multi-year contract. If 7.25 x 1 was his demand the Pens would have already signed him

laugh laugh No freaking way Letang signs for 1 year $7,250,000 in Montreal. And Petry isn't returning a 1st and 3rd round pick without retention and Nashville doesn't want him.

Better to shop for Cheaper options
Maybe use Petry in a Subban/Weber format trade?

There had to be a RD MTL would like that another team would be ok with
    Different styles or something

He cant be the only D in this situation
worst case we ignore him and plays where he's told
Under MSL he looks happy and playing well
Really moving his family here temporarily is his choice , if he chooses not to thats their call
    Not at all MTL problem

Are you aware of who was Letang's agent up until January 19th, 2022? That would be Kent Hughes, GM of the Montreal Canadiens. The GM of Letang's hometown team. Letang has voiced his desire to come home in the past. Tell me again how there's no way he comes to Montreal.

Well because Montreal sucks and isn’t a contender. Why would we want to play for a team that’s not even close when he can get a raise and contend elsewhere? Also Letang has expressed his desire to stay with the pens and retire with Crosby and Malkin so 🤷‍♂️
