Bertuzzi isn’t the guy we move Necas for. Prior back surgery and injury history makes the deal too risky

So I think necas is definitely a no but its an interesting trade. Carolina probably can't afford to extend Bert if he keeps his play up. Campbell costs a whole bunch more unless he completely falls apart.

Necas was a deal breaker for Laine and Eichel, so why would he be included for someone who has an injury history and can’t even play in Canada? Suter is ok, but Bertuzzi is not worth Necas. Maybe if he was vaccinated he could be, but as long as the border restrictions continue, you won’t get your moneys worth for Bertuzzi. I’m pretty sure that anyone would take the player that can play across the border vs the one that can’t. Yzerman will almost certainly get something for Bertuzzi, but you can’t expect top dollar for a guy who can’t play a full season just because he can’t cross the border.

Now, if he were vaccinated, he isn’t getting Necas back then either, but he would draw more interest. Until Covid ends (please be soon) or Bertuzzi gets vaccinated, he will not draw the Red Wings full value in a trade. And just a little side note, Necas is a natural winger. I know he can play center, but he controls the flanks way better than he does the center of the ice.
