Carolina pass hard. Halak would be the 3rd choice goalie. Hamonic is a cap dump. The 4th isn't enough for Bear.

Raanta is better than Halak. It doesn't help the Canes. The retention still leaves the Canes over the cap, and Hamonic is just not good.

I can't remember if it was the Hurricanes or the Carolina Panthers but one of the teams used it after the expansion draft when ESPN confused the Hurricanes with the Panthers.

Wings have no cap issues so trading Stretcher for nothing makes zero sense.

Canes pass. No real use for any of the players back. Bear can definitely be had but not for what would amount to a third string goalie and a 7-8D

If the canes move him it’s likely part of a package for a 2LW or a top 4 D. No point in moving him for bottom 6 Fs. Those grow on trees and Canes have more than enough of them.
