Initial Creation Date: Feb. 27, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
JD played well on the 1st line, everybody would be better with marchy and bergy. But by playing on that line jd has show that he can be a really good player, he has all the tools to succeed but just lack the motivation I guess and I think that this should show teams that he might need more attention form the coaching staff but he could give you big in return

  1. DeBrusk, Jake ($1,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Jd sign a 5x4m to stay in EDM (I know it’s less than his QO) but he want to play there and be close to his daddy

The only reason why I’m not feelin Debrusk as an option is I really don’t want to pay him 4 mill 😬. Much better to go for Hagel, Copp, Crouse etc on the left side. Don’t get me wrong, would be great to have our hometown boy, but that damn QO scares me

I could see Debrusk taking less than his QO to stay, copp will cost u a 1st and 5m+ to keep, crouse is off the market and hagel will be expensive to get because he’s on a really good deal and play well

We might be willing to pay for Hagel if that’s the case and some other options could open up as well like Nick Paul, I’m just saying that the only way I’d trade for Debrusk is if I knew for sure he’d sign for around what he’s getting now.

Crouse and Hagel won’t be moved. And you would not want to pay the cost if they were.

The QO for Debrusk is completely irrelevant. Sign him to extension and it’s gone. He declines it it’s gone. If he accepts it….it’s one year at 4.4. Better than signing an older free agent with longer term and lower ceiling for same $, because that is the going rate.

This is one of the better proposed Debrusk to EDM deals honestly. I don’t do if i’m Boston but…🤷🏻‍♂️

Okk yeah, if I’m the oilers I want Debrusk with an EXT to make that trade because otherwise he will be too expensive.

You rather have Debrusk over Yamamoto? Like turris is negative value but doesn’t really change anything, like Debrusk is playing well but he want out

Jets accept. Maybe add in a late pick.

The fact this is a good deal for us is not my point, but if you see my other post; The point I’m tryna make is: unless he’s guaranteed to take a hometown discount or sign for less before coming here, the interest dies down. But Idk with Holland anymore..😑

I'd keep Dillon before I traded him for that, those pieces do nothing for the Jets.

I'd hope they wouldn't, Reilly and Studnicka don't add anything the Jets lack whereas Dillon does.

Not a Yammer fan. I think B’s have changed their direction with him as well. When he first asked for a trade they wanted a similar type FW coming back to stay competitive. Now that they have hit the deadline i think they are looking to use him in package for an upgrade.

Winnipeg says no. There's nothing there that the Jets consider for Dillon.
