  1. Olivier, Mathieu
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (NSH)

Just from the Toronto standpoint, I don't know how you are going to fit in Matthews at 11.6, Tavares at 11, Marner at 10.6, Forsberg at 8.35, Reilly at 7.5, Nylander at 7. That's 56 million on 6 players, which leaves a third of the cap to fill in 15-16 players.

My entire idea with this trade is that Toronto has some like cap black magic thing going, so they'd find a way to make it work.

"These trades might be dumb. I kind of think they are." You should have stuck with your first thought. Extensions to other teams rarely happens mid season, and the cap strapped Leafs aren't in the market for an expensive LWer

The Leafs fans of twitter brainwashed me with all their forsberg talk I guess.

I’d rather get a d-man back from Zacha here.

Fabbro, Carrier….who is more available?

Of our right defensemen Myers is probably most available. I think ono for one myers for zacha could work for both teams

If all Forsberg wants is $8.35 for six years, I don't see why NSH doesn't sign him to that themselves. Even with Forsberg gone, there really isn't a spot for Kerfoot there. A Forsberg to TOR trade doesn't really work for NSH because TOR's cap situation means they'd need full retention in addition to having to send players NSH doesn't need/want to fit him under the cap (like Kerfoot, Engvall, Holl, Dermott, etc). With Amirov's unfortunate medical condition taking him out of any possible trade, they don't have much in the way of high end prospects to offer either.

I suppose Fabbro would be slightly easier to pry away from the Preds, but not in a trade for a middle six winger.

I don’t think Myers would = Zacha but maybe. We have Dougie and Severson, so would likely be 3rd pair. Would want a more defensive option there.

We would add…what does Nashville need?

The only way I could see NSH parting with either Fabbro or Carrier, would be as part of a package for a top player. Zacha as the main return for either would be a non-starter.

May we interest you in a slightly used pylon named Ben Harpur.

I think Fabbro is expendable. He has not progressed into the player we thought we would be getting out of BU.

I think Fabbro has taken a big step forward this season. He's making far fewer mistakes now, and seems to work well with Josi. NSH also doesn't have anyone who's close to stepping into the top four to replace him, if he (or Carrier) were moved.
