I read somewhere that the Habs have called ARI for Gostisbehere, and that ARI wants a goalkeeper on contract, a choice and a possible defender on contract or RFA.

I don't think it's true, but I figured it'd be a fun idea to play with.

    Reasonable. The Wideman throw in really makes it tempting. I would much prefer kulak but for the sake of your roster, doesnt really matter

    Given how the two played lately, I think Kulak is worth at least a round more than Wideman if both were traded for 2022 picks.

    If they had to add a little sweetner, so be it. Wideman doesnt really move the needle as much personally.

    Yeah I saw that too. But I think anyone not named Keller could be had in Arizona for the right price. If Ghost was two years younger with two more years of term, I'd believe it, but it makes no sense to have an "untouchable" defenseman that is a UFA in 1.25 seasons

    Fair trades, good job! I don't think Letang settles for a 1-year contract but who knows, and Fleury probably gets more on the open market.

    I may have been to confident in the hometown discount. As for Letang, my premise was to overpay him on a one-year deal to pry him away from Pittsburgh, then bring him back on cheaper deals afterwards.

    I'm not sure Wideman as a throw-in is enough for Colorado to include Foudy.

    its reasonable though, its more realistic than the guy who keeps on saying Justin Barron and a pick for Lehkonen

    2nd rounder for Lehkonen is market value. But with all the teams interested in him, it's gonna take more than market value.

    Lehky = barron + 3rd
    Kulak = 3rd

    So put barron 2nd and 5th

    Lehkonen is not worth Barron 1 for 1 my man, not to the avs.

    You guys are going to juts hold onto him then if you starting asking crazy demands. Which is a risk, hes going to probably take his 1 year qo and walk himself to UFA

    Add a low end pick from the Avs side and switch Wideman for Kulak and I'd say the Avs probably do it. Well done for being more realistic than most Habs fans though.

    What do you prefer in terms of defenseman?

    1. A good skating dman good at transitioning and able to support the forwards in offense

    or

    2. A less creative defenseman better at clearing the puck with better defense, but less creativity with the puck

    Needs-wise the latter.
