I don't think Avs trade a 3rd for Kulak.

If Byram is healthy they'll only be looking for a depth Dman with like a 4th or 5th rounder. Don't need to spend a 3rd for that.

If Byram is not healthy they'll aim higher than Kulak.

Kulak probably doesn't even fetch a 3rd from other teams either. 4th with retention would probably be the highest you get (similar to Nemeth @50% last year).

ye, im not saying leafs dont want him, because he would fit in like a glove. it would probably not include a first from the leafs, higher chance for a leafs offer being holl + second + B prospect, either abramov, or Kral. IMO thats a better return for the habs. both sides get some needs. leafs could also add say a third for some retention
