Erik Johnson would 100% have buffalo on his no trade list

Kempe
Arvidsson
Iafallo
Moore
Kaliyev

Which one does Olofsson play ahead of?

Not to mention that we're trying to find playing time for Grundstrom, Turcotte and Vilardi.

And there's no chance we're trading one of our franchise cornerstones in the last year of his contract, when he's making $2.5 million.

By the way, the signing rights to Lawrence Pilut are utterly worthless.

No, he wouldn't, especially ahead of Moore, who has been a member of one of the three most productive front lines in the NHL since January 1.

The Kings trade doesn’t make much sense for either side imo

And i doubt E.Johnson waives to go from the AVs to us,
that’s just too big of a step down

Possibly but not necessarily. I could easily see the 13 being the Canadian teams, njd, az, phi, clb, and chi

I agree with you, but it still wouldn't make sense for LA. It would be like the Sabres trading literally anything for a left d.

Why would he rather got to Buffalo, than Philly or Chicago??

Those are bigger cities that are held in much higher regard than us
And i know it’s not by much, but they’re also both better teams who are closer to the playoffs than us

Jersey is seen as “closer” than us too I’d think

Maybe Johnson doesn't maybe he does. He does have to pick 19 teams he would go to. Odds are Buffalo isn't one of them but not necessarily. I think the Kings trade helps both teams. It gives LA some scoring depth and I player that could really help their pp which has been bad. It also gives them cap space to look to further upgrade LD and up front. The Sabres get a veteran to split with UPL next year while Portillo and Levi continue to develop and they add a right D prospect to help with org depth there

I don't see any of those teams being closer than us. I could very easily see Chicago trade Kane and some other higher end pieces to go through a long rebuild. Same with Philly. Some guys also don't necessarily want to go to a big city. Plus it may be intriguing to know you are going to play with Dahlin or Power in a contract year

LA has TONS of young forward talent
And with Olofsson needing a new contract, it’s not gonna save them much Cap
Also, they’re very unlikely to trade Quick imo

I agree that a Vet goalie to mentor our kids would be a good idea
Just don’t think Quick is that guy

He could, but if they want to clear cap to keep Kadri or acquire his replacement he has to give a list of 19 teams he will accept a trade to. He does not have a full NMC

Alot of that young forward talent has been underwhelming since being drafted. I would expect them to move some of that for a LD or talent up front this offseason. Moving Quick should free up 2 million even counting in Oloffson's contract and he is immediately the best shooter on their PP

It’s still a long shot imo
Limited number of teams he can go to
And how many teams would even want him?
Not like he’s still playing great
And he’s got a pretty high Cap hit, which many teams can’t absorb

Olofsson may be the best shooter on their PP,
but they’re still spending assets to bring in a player at a position of depth
Equate that to the Sabres
That would be like us spending assets to get a LD
With all the talent we have stocked up at that position, it just isn’t smart to go after someone who may currently be better than Power or Samuelsson, etc
Gotta give the kids a chance to grow & develop

It’s not like Olofsson is having a season like Tage,
where a team would be eager to get him
He’s been mediocre this year, & interest will likely be limited
