Toronto doesn't have the space for Dumba, especially when the return is picks and prospects.

Wild aren't trading dumba no matter what. We aren't buying, and Guerin has made that clear to the lockerroom. So both trades gets turned down

Leafs wouldn’t even consider that, dumba is an overpaid pylon

I seriously doubt Dumba would be moved at the deadline. That makes no sense if we want to contend

Why wouldn't you be buying? You're a Stanley Cup hopeful in a freefall. The next three years seem awfully dark, and your fanbase has seen just 2 playoff series victories in the past 17 years. Why wouldn't you add to make a run? It's not like you don't have all your picks and a top prospect pool to trade from...

GM's like Guerin doesn't care about 1 year like fans of other teams think. He's already met with the team and told them he's not adding. It's beyond clear at this point he doesn't see this team as a true contender

Cool, so the Wild will once again descend into mediocrity for the upcoming future. Must be fun!

As long we have kaprizov, we won't. We have all of our picks including two 2nd round picks thus draft and could get another one for jack mcBain helping wild move up in this draft with Judd brackett at the helmet

It's really weird how many people who aren't wild fans get annoyed, or mad Guerin isn't willing to add

Even with Kaprizov, you are 13th in the standings. 16th would be dead average, so I'd say you're pretty safely tucked in mediocrity if things don't change. And I don't see them changing in any positive way during the next three years. (You're also below average in GA, PP%, PK%, hits, and many more stats.)

Besides, I'm not mad Guerin won't add. I'm just wondering what the logic behind that decision is since Minnesota is my 2nd favorite team.

It's been reported he doesn't see thus team at least right now as logical contenders. He's not really wrong. Plus when you have judd brackett and the picks we have along with them trying to add another 2nd, they have their eyes on a big time player in the draft

That's exactly what I mean. This is a stance a mediocre team would take, not a winning one.

Just so you know, the pick we get from not signing Johansson will be 56th, not 33rd. He was the 24th pick in the 1st round and the compensation for failing to sign a 1st round pick is the same number pick in the 2nd round. Since there's 32 teams now, it's the 24th pick after pick 32 which would be pick 56.
