Based on rumors

Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 9, 2022
Published: Mar. 9, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Comtois, Maxime
  2. Rakell, Rickard
Additional Details:
The Ducks have been reportedly showing interest in DeBrusk, and have also put Comtois on the block—the two players have produced similarly the past couple seasons, so a 1-for-1 swap would make sense. It wouldn’t be the first time the Bruins and Ducks swapper struggling young forwards. The Bruins also add Rakell, a pending UFA, to address their 1/2RW problem. The Ducks get Beecher and a 1st for Rakell with Senyshyn thrown in as well.
ANA
  1. Beecher, John [Reserve List]
  2. DeBrusk, Jake
  3. Senyshyn, Zach
  4. 2022 1st round pick (BOS)
2.
BOS
  1. Middleton, Jake
Additional Details:
Has been playing very well this season, and the Bruins have reportedly shown interest.
SJS
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (CGY)
  2. 2023 5th round pick (BOS)

Says the guy who sees, “this team is interested in that player!” And instantly thinks its a trade rumor.

Heard it hear first - bruins are interested in McDavid, as is every team. Get the rumor mill churning!

What exactly do you think trade rumors are then?

I’ve heard some rumors the bruins will be signing erik haula last offseason—but you can never be too sure!

A credible reporter saying, “this team is talking to this team about that player.”

When Elliott Friedman says that Colorado is very interested in both Hertl and Giroux, and have been talking to both teams regarding acquisition cost, I believe it.

When it’s some dude at, “nhlrumors.com,” who’s quoting some other guy at some random website, who’s quoting some blogger, who’s quoting some dude he saw on twitter without a picture….ignore it. It’s not that hard. Start with just ignoring any website that’s primary goal is rumors. Know why? Because if they don’t have any, they’re going to make them up.

TSN's Pierre LeBrun reported an update on Middleton's status during Tuesday night's "Insider Trading" segment, and he mentioned the Bruins among the team's that have shown some interest.

"An under-the-radar name for the Sharks that’s garnering some interest? Defenceman Jake Middleton, who has partnered with both Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns at times this year," LeBrun said.

"He’s part of that penalty killing crew that’s ranked second in the NHL. He’s a restricted free agent at the end of the year, he’s making only 5,000, he’s a bit of an old school physical brand that teams headed to the playoffs like to stash on their roster. Among the teams that have kicked tires I’m told Tampa Bay, Boston and St. Louis."
