If you're referring to the Van Tor trade, I had it envisioned as Schenn for Engvall, 2nd and 5th for Lily and 3rd for taking Ferland

Not quite sure how Forsberg or Sandord equate to Matthews so I will assume you don't understand value. I can give you tips if you want to learn how hockey works? Your counter offers are completely silly and make no sense. My trades favor Toronto a bit (that's the point of a trade) but both teams get something the want/need/ could use

I was making a joke because you're offers are a joke, they completely favour Toronto. The Ottawa one and the Vancouver one are horrid because Ljiligren is not worth a second so are you saying that Engvall is worth Schene a third and a fifth. That's idoitic. Also the Pens one is bad because DeSmith has been the better goalie in a better division and then they are paying a fourth to get a goalie and a contract that they don't need, then you are trading that goalie to Edmonton for a weird value because Pitsburgh paid a whole lot more to give him away what? Then that Ottawa one, Ottawa does have any pressure to trade one of the best goalies in the league and their best player this season (hence Matthews) and then adding Sanford who is worth a third for a goalie prospect that has a huge injury history that the Sens don't need a defenceman that the Sens don't need, and a prospect that I've never heard of that Ottawa doesn't need. So Ottawa is giving up two things far more valuable that they need for three things that they don't need/want that are far less valuable. The trades are bad there is no way around that.

Ferland is on LTIR, you don't need to take him because their is no cap hit, plus if there was you'd not be able to take it.

I was. And Ferland only has 1 year remaining and I think he will honestly officially retire this summer..since his career is over..so this would come off the books and thus wouldn't help..
I could see it as schenn and a 3rd for lijegren and Engvall..

Canucks have no need to do this and this super favours the Laffs. You’ll have to pay to get Schenn and unless it’s like a 2nd I doubt Allvin gives him up for anything less since we’re still in the playoff hunt and Schenn pairs well with Hughes

Schenn is Lybushkin-esque he is no better than a #5 more realistically he is a #6, I'm not sure why the Leafs waste Liljegren on him...

Neither team says yes LOL, Hughes with Schenn lowkey reminds me of when Rielly was paired with Hunwick and Hainsey I hope for his sake theres a real upgrade there soon. Hughes-Marino would be sick

This is an easy one. The Leafs as an organization have an abundance of money. While the LTIR will not affect either team in terms of cap hit, the player still requires to be paid. The Leafs simply remove that burden from the Nucks for a 3rd. After this season he will have one more season left and the I agree, he will most likely retire.

You realize that the Canucks have an abundance of money right….

You also have not responded why you think that these trafes are good.

I would have been able to assume that you'd recognize "Sanford for Matthews" as a pretty obvious joke but either way, I have to ask, if you think that Sens trade makes any sense, why could the Sens use a below-replacement RHD when they've already got 2 of those in the lineup, who need to be pushed out for the multiple RHD prospects who are ready to be playing NHL games, a 23 year old who hasn't even come over from Europe yet, and a goalie prospect when the Sens have 4 goalie prospects under the age of 24 with Gustavsson, Merilainen, Mandolese, Soogard. In terms of an aggregate value I don't think it's ridiculous, but don't cite "what both teams need" when the Sens have no need for any of the pieces you proposed.

The point of a trade is to make your team better than it was previously. In this case, Schenn's physical stay at home style is better than Holl. Sanford's size and physical play is better than Engvall for a 4th line role. Forsberg is of course better than Mzarek. Plus overall the Leafs save money for their UFA/RFA. The Leafs are a regular season team. They don't have the toughness to keep up in the grind of playoff hockey. Simmonds is too slow. I like Clifford and find he at least hits as much as possible each shift. What they really need is some fresh legs who are full of 'piss and vinegar' to bring energy. Thanks to a few contracts that Dybas signed, they have painted themselves into a corner for acquiring such pieces. Perhaps these specific trades aren't feasible, but I believe the idea is there for what they need.
