Description
EDM fills RD need and clears 2.5M of cap they can use to address G in another trade (Holtby?), WSH trades down ~30 spots for VO who can help WSH poor PP2, and a depth D to replace MK who is a cap dump. Makes sense all around.

Are you a Sabres fan?

You are grossly undervaluing Olofsson.

Olofsson (1/2 retained) for WAS 1st and Kempny...maybe. Maybe. But why should the Sabres take a step back with how their forwards are developing. Olofsson should be resigned for 4 seasons and we should go with that. The Washington 1st would be 4 seasons away. What's the point?

Koskinen is 9-1-2 with 0.927 SV% in his last 12 starts and that's .833 PT%. Oilers aren't looking to replace Koskinen currently.

It will be about getting another goalie that can split time with Koskinen as Koskinen plays his best with plenty of rest.

Maybe take Turris instead or someone else for cap space - not Kassian he bad mouthed the owners so that is a no go

As for the trade with Wash I think that's fine as far as it went but if the Sabres had Wash, Vegas, and Florida's 1st I'd rather use them to get a player - what are those 3 1sts and our 2 extra 2023 2nds worth in term of players with term - ie Chychrun or Scheifele

Nobody wants Koskinen and his 12 game sample size is a joke. Everyone sees that he wouldn't start for most teams and Edmonton has a serious problem and in net

Yes, Edmonton tandem is weak currently but name a goalie better then Koskinen that the Oilers could get via TDL trade?
