The only way you’re getting Garland (or Boeser) is by giving up Marino

meh, there's no need for Van to move Garland right now and I don't think they want kapanen, even with the draft picks. If Marino isn't involved than maybe a 1st and a 3rd get it done with an expiring contract to make the dollars work but yeah I don't see it.

What also needs to be kept in mind is that Rutherford gave up a first for kapanen. Albeit it was a few years ago, but both him and Allvin like kapanen a fair amount

Btw I'm not saying that Garland is worth a first and a 3rd. There's just no need for them to move him right now. He's an effective player on a nice contract.

Yeah, this does scare me. It would be a mistake for Van imo.

Yeah well the difference was he was younger and had more potential a few years ago. Now he’s a healthy scratch on the Penguins roster

Ya no doubt it’d be a mistake. I don’t think they’d budge on Marino for one of boeser or garland. You never know tho

Given our GM was Jim Benning for 8 years, I fail to see how things could get any worse

Finally someone who isn’t a moron trading away Marino for Garland/Boeser mid-season. I knew they existed somewhere. They are just few and far between.

You might be right, but they also traded him away. They may not like him as much anymore or for Vancouver
