We'll take the 2nd for Middleton. 3rd's fair value but it'll have to be a slight overpay, otherwise no reason for SJ to trade him.

Canucks are only moving one of their top 6 forwards if they get a good RHD

Sharks won't sell low after developing Middleton for 3 years then move him for a lousy late 3rd. Makes no sense when we can just re sign him in the off-season for 2mil. The price is a 2nd+

We traded Dillon at tdl just two years ago for 2 Seconds and Middleton has better numbers than he did then.

One of the very last positions of need. Pastrnak and smith are fine.

I think Haula is doing just fine on that 2nd line centering hall and pasta. Would I like a true 2C ofcourse. will the bruins drop haula to fourth line or move him up to play RW on the 1st line probably not.

Youre not touching that 3d and 4th line as of now. So biggest need is to trade Debrusk for a RW that can play on the first line with march and berg.

1. He wants a trade.

2. With his play the past couple weeks his value has been increased.

3.Why not package him with a pick to get a young guy back maybe with term

Who cares if he wants a trade? He’s under contract.
Yes, his trade value has increased. That doesn’t mean the team should be moving a bundle off assets to address a position they don’t need to address.

Im all for using him in a package deal for a LD as well.

I wouldnt mind maybe doing what the bruins did back in 2011 with Marchand to Lysell and maybe bring him up to play with them. That speed could be great.

I don’t think you’re remembering what happened with marchand.
He was drafted, then played two more years of junior, then played a full season in the AHL, and got an NHL look the following year, but still played the majority of the year in the AHL. The following year was 2011, and he made the team out of camp.

So doing the same thing with lysell would be having him get his first NHL look in 2025. Is that what you’re suggesting?

What are we going to do when Debrusk is traded? Smith has played well on the third line and Haula isn't exactly first-line material. Also, I see what you said earlier, and apparently, Cassidy and Debrusk don't have the best relationship, so that's one of the reasons Debrusk wants out.

I would try a more subtle approach to RW. Jarnkrok would be a great add. Good, productive player with reasonable acquisition and salary cost. The big need is an upgrade at LD. Would love Oleksiak but he would have to waive. Whoever it may be the question is how much does DS want to pay in the form of assets?

Don’t trade debrusk.
