Not unreasonable but the Habs would probably say no. They are in the hunt, maybe fruitlessly, for a first for each of those players. Hajak does not move the needle as he is a left defenceman and the Habs have those coming out the yingyang. Hughes says he wants to play fast and Cuylle is a good prospect but fast is not what comes to mind when you say his name.

I tend to agree with you. Its not enough for both of those players. Hajak doesn't do anything and is an RFA at seasons end. Its similar to the Flyers in that you can get better deal from 2 different teams as opposed to a "bundle".

There's not going to be a first for Lehkonen (IMO), but in order for either of these guys to get a first it's going to have to come with 50% retention.
That being said, Hajek doesn't do anything other that being a throw in in a deal, but Cuylle could develop into a nice piece.

I'd say add 50% retention to both players, add a 3rd or 4th and add in another prospect or young player that:
1 - Interests the Habs
2 - NYR are willing to part with for these pieces

Artturi Lekhonen, 26 year old forward, Going RFA next Season so the team who get him will be able to control is contract right. A average of 27 pts - 13 pts - 28 pts with 13 goal this year. So your saying that MTL can have a first round pick for him ?? cause if i look into the pass for some trade of equal player they did get a first round + prospect.

NJD Nolan foote and 1 round 2020 or 2021 -Tampa Blake Coleman 28 year old forward, had 31 points (21 goals, 10 assists) in 57 games Average 32 points for the last 3 years

SJS First Round pick 2020 and Anthony Greco - Tampa Barclay Goodrow 26 year old forward, 24 points (eight goals, 16 assists) in 62 games Goodrow average 20 to 26 points for the last 3 years

The market may be more calm this year but i feel that if Goodrow and Coleman have been trade for that price that Lekhonen should atleast have a return on the same level or near that. And i'm not saying that because i'm a habs fan. Lehkonen trade value is at is most high at the moment and with how he have play this past 2 or 3 weeks that a good display on how he can help a team.

In fact i'm starting to think that maybe Trading Lekhonen could be a error and i do like better having him on the lineup them a armia for exemple. At 3 to 3.5m for the next 4 or 5 years could be a good idea to keep him.
