That line would be sick, but I think rn for the wings bertuzzi is an untouchable.

Don't think Detroit takes the deal. Also 2022 first for Rakell 2023 is a good draft and we need a good prospect + we don't know if Letang and Malkin will walk away

Detroit 100% declines, Bertuzzi > Kapanen, Pettersson will be relegated to 3rd pairing duties once Edvinsson and Johansson arrive. And there's noway Yzerman deals Bertuzzi without a 1st round pick coming back period. And whatever team gets Bertuzzi Yzerman will let their GM talk to Bertuzzi's agent on a long term deal. So that only enhances Bertuzzi's value he's not going to be a one year deal. it will be similar to the Seth Jones deal.

I love getting a right handed forward in Kappy and a somewhat solid left D. I think we will go for a veteran d man, im not sure Peterson would really be worth it unless we flip him for a doper D man. It will be a fairly medium return in the end but it does fill holes and possibly helps up continue to grow and achieve the goal of not taking steps back like it looks like we are right now. I would not be against this deal if it actually happened. I would assume we would use our 2nds to move up if we did such a thing, tough to get rid of Bert, perfect compliment player.

Im hearing people say Yzerman has a trick up his sleeve and that posssibly something big coming out of Detroit like last year. And since Yzerman he tells no one, we can all just make it up as we go! I think? tears of joy

I'm guessing some Pens reported said that bertuzzi would be really good there so everyone is making the trades now. Usually what happens on this site.

David Pagnotta was on the NHL Network the other day and asked about players Pittsburgh could target he said Pittsburgh isn't interested in a rental and would like a player with term some term left. Now he mentioned Garland, Boeser and Bertuzzi. With Garland being the most likely because he wouldn't cost as much to acquire and Pittsburgh could move Marino to accomplish this. His reason for adding Bertuzzi to the list was that several teams have shown interest in him in the past.

Makes sense, I don't think they have the pieces Detroit would want.
