    there is 0...and I mean absolutely 0 chance avs would trade Byram. especially to the hawks for Kane.
    This is just an instant decline by the avs.

    No reason for the Avs to go after Kane - he's a fantastic goal-scorer but he doesn't play defense. And they aren't giving up Byram.

    for any team to have over 5M in dead cap from retention for 1.5 years would most likely cost a 1st at minimum

    No such thing as assurances on health. Knights traded for Eichel while he was hurt. He came back then got hurt again, this time blocking a shot. The player is either worth the risk or they aren't.

    it’s $2.5M, 50% by hawks is 5M and sens would retain another 50% being 2.5M
