Mrazek isn't getting claimed off waivers and Winnipeg currently has an offer on the table of two 2nds for Copp, so that's not really close either.

Yeah I saw that too, Hirvonen was a 2nd rounder and is developing nicely he will be NHL ready sooner than an average 2nd rounder. Abruzzese is a prospect that probably has similar value to McBain IMO. So that's 2 seconds worth of value, the conditional pick is extra protection for the jets

Minnesota isn't taking the risk of not having a G. So unless they do, it's a no. Our gm. Might not even want to let him go

Just a friendly heads up: in the 2020 CBA MOU, the league and nhlpa removed the ability to make trade conditions based on signings/extensions. So your Winnipeg trade would be rejected by the league.

The Jets aren't trading Copp for 2 2nds...that's the thing. Send the first and something else and the Jets will look at it. We are too close to give Copp up for anything less than a first

I think I heard that too on one of the insider's podcasts, I feel like there could be a workaround there. Maybe if the condition was phrased like "If Abruzzese plays less than 10 game in Winnipeg in the 2022-23 season then Jets acquire 2024 2nd"?

Im not sure the market is there tbh, maybe a conditional 2nd that can turn into a 1st + a prospect. But the clock is ticking so we will see

I guess they're betting on Talbot/Fluery which is surprising honestly
