I do like Murphy in Buffalo but not sure he’s worth a first.

Yeah he's worth the Florida first 100%.... he's twelve miles better than Chiarot.

Both teams decline the Debrincat trade.

That’s more than what the Sabres got for Eichel.

Based on the Reinhart and Buchnevich deals last offseason, forwards approaching RFA are not valued as high bc of the flat cap, and players are inclined to take their QO and go to UFA in a year.

Mid 1st, A- prospect, and a young depth player seems about right (I love Debrincat as a player)

Debrincat isn't comparable to Buch or Reichart imo

Gotta think Buffalo accepts. Seems like a solid option for Power or Dahlin in a top-four role.

He’s better, don’t get me wrong, but contract wise he’s in the exact same spot.

Teams don’t want to give assets like this to have the privilege of negotiating a deal to buy prime UFA years or being taken to arb and then right to UFA

Hawks would rather extend him for 8 years anyways, So it's a win-win

Yeah, why move Toews and Kane and open that space and not give it to AD.
