Detroit easily declines. All this does, is leaves us with a hole on the RD side and we're not giving up picks either.

You forgot that the trades shouldn't favour Philly with Chuck Fletcher

Fair enough. I think it's a starting point for talks at least. PHI doesn't have much in terms of NHL ready RHD to return, but they could sweeten the pot with Ronnie Attard who is coming off a great year at Western Michigan. I'm sure DET can push the 3rd back to 2023 or 2024 as well.

Provorov could definitely turn his game around if he's paired with Seider. Provorov's deal ends the year Mo's extension would kick in, and Provorov doesn't have any trade protection which would make this a great deal in the end for DET.

To address the hole left in RD, I could easily see Yzerman taking a calculated swing at Klingberg or Gudbranson in free agency.

I like this, I do believe though Fletcher will try and make a big money signing like Forsberg for example. I do like the Bobby Brink signing and moving into the roster.

I would only trade Hronek for a potential top 6 centre anyways. But Petry would be a back up option if that did happen, as long as he was cheap enough.

I personally want nothing to with Petry or that contract, he looks cooked...

I just don't see those big name guys having a reason to sign here. We have no top end talent they want to play with, and no coaching staff they want to play for. They likely know Chuck has a short lease, and if it doesn't work out, they're likely to be moved at the deadline (unless they have trade protection clauses). We're stuck over paying for lower skilled free agents until we hit it big in the draft lottery.
