Keep Mayfield and the 1st and go after Marchment or Domi in UFA. I think they both would bring a physical presence to the top 6 that would benefit playing next to Barzal-Wahlstrom.

He knows puljujarvi is good. I would say no to that trade. Jesse needs to stay an Oiler.

Marchment is getting the Florida boost and will put up bottom 6 numbers on any other team. Good player, but he's going to get paid this offseason. I wouldn't mind Dom, depends on the contract.

I understand that getting Ceci is part of the price of getting Pool Party, but my biggest concern for this team is that there's only about $10M available for summer 2023 with both Barzal & Wahlstrom needing contracts. Being tight against the cap and having multiple important RFA raises due gives me nasty Devon Toews flashbacks.

No thanks. Puljujarvi is very good, and Ceci has been good for us too. That just creates holes, and we don’t want to fill them as we have ones to fill already. We are trying to be a good team, and this makes us worse..

yeah I get that concern, but this roster has a lot more pieces with trade value. After next season they can trade one of Nelson or Rielly

only posting this because it's rumored they want to keep Kane and puljujarvi might be the odd man out

Oh that’s weird.. doesn’t make any sense to me why the oilers would do that. I personally rather keep Puljujarvi.

True - Reilly gets moved if you can get Salo & Bolduc to improve enough to easily slot in at LD2/LD3. Salo should hopefully grow into a nice puck mover like Reilly.

I also just checked - Palmieri goes from a full NTC to 16-team NTC in 2023, so that's actually another option. If he can play like second half Palmieri in 2022-23, I think that 2x$5M left on his deal becomes much easier to move than you would've thought a couple months ago.

A part of me feels like Lou is going to trade Salo because of his comments about Bridgeport, hopefully not , just a gut feeling.

It's possible that Palmieri will be easier to move, they need to trade him while he's on a hot streak

I just love how reilly to the islanders for a third is the most universally accepted trade on this site.
