getting hertl could have bridged the RW spot until Bergy retires and we need him at center. would have been nice but being right against the cap needing to resign pasta and swayman would be tough.

Hertl would've also been very expensive. Also Bergeron's underpaid.

Hertl means no Lindholm, Hertl wanted to stay in San Jose and besides that doesn't get him anyways. And Bergeron gets more then $4,000,000 x 1 year.

Hertl would have cost way more than that. A first in 3 drafts, a guy who wants out, an ahl defenseman and a 4C don’t do it.

Still no to Foligno going to the Jackets. He doesn't want to leave and we want him to go out and get that Cup.

That's a bad trade that has no basis in reality. I have travelled to San Jose and Northern California. It's beautiful and could see Hertl declining Boston for that reason alone besides 8,137,500 other ones per year for 8 years. No one wants to play for Boston? Shame on you. You know that's not true. My question to you is if San Jose is the place to be why do they have to overpay and over term so many of their good players into their late 30's to get them to stay there?

Players have wanted to play in SJ for YEARS. they are well known for treating their players with the utmost class. Shame on me? What a dumb thing to say my god. Boston is on a serious decline and have only ONE decent prospect. What a mistake for any player to sign there.

Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak, Carlo and now McAvoy all sign team friendly contracts. Coyle signs long extension after being traded for. Hall and Lindholm resign after being traded for instead of testing free agency. The Bruins sign Smith and Ullmark among others as UFA's these last two off seasons. And you say no one wants to play for Boston? Damn right shame on you. For a team on a serious decline they sure have a good record right now and they actually have TWO decent prospects so you are wrong on both those points as well. Instead of trying to tear down the team I cheer for with incorrect statements why can't you at least attempt to answer the question I posed to you in my last quote?
