Since you didn’t do anything with Nicolas Roy, how about VVerbeek slides in and trades him for a 3rd and someone on a 2 way deal

Dadonov already said no to Anaheim due to the high California taxes, So he's not waiving for San Jose for the exact same reasons. And Martinez isn't waiving for Edmonton as he doesn't want to play in Canada. if Martinez get moved it will be to go home to Detroit to finish his career.

Edmonton isn't giving up a 2nd for 2 years x $5.25M of an injury-prone 35 year old. That's not close to realistic.

He has a 16 team no trade list, which half of that is all Canadian teams. So i'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual Martinez isn't waiving for Edmonton.

No from San Jose. They aren’t trading a 3rd goalie for another goalie. Plus that’s a terrible deal, don’t particularly care to take on Brossiot and give up a younger goalie, depth vet and a pick

Yeah I would jump on that. I like Holden but he'll be 35 y/o next season and we have other options

A 2nd and a 5th are picks we can afford to give up. Gaudette probably wouldn't be re-signed anyway
